The 104th MES Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Headquarters Additional Director General North East Infrastructure (HQ ADG NEI), Narangi Cantt, on 26 September 2026. The event was attended by officers and staff of HQ ADG NEI, Chief Engineer (Air Force) Borjhar, GE (AF) Borjhar and GE (Projects) AF Digaru.
On the occasion, Shri Prabhakar Mittal, IDSE, Additional Director General, North East Infrastructure, extended his warm greetings to all officers, staff and their families.
Addressing the gathering, the ADG recalled the distinguished journey of the Military Engineer Services (MES) and commended the dedication and perseverance of its personnel in meeting the infrastructure requirements of the Armed Forces, particularly under challenging conditions in the North East.
He highlighted the continuously increasing expectations of the Armed Forces from MES and stressed the need for timely completion of projects, improved planning and execution, adoption of modern technologies, and enhanced quality in both works and maintenance.
The ADG also emphasised the importance of standardising processes to improve efficiency and accountability. He called upon all personnel to discharge their responsibilities with the highest standards of integrity, professional ethics and devotion to duty.
On the occasion, Shri Prabhakar Mittal presented commendation cards to deserving officers and staff in recognition of their exemplary devotion to duty and contributions to the organisation.
He expressed confidence that, through collective effort and continued commitment, MES will uphold its proud legacy and successfully meet the infrastructure challenges of the future.
