As part of the third National Space Day celebrations, the NCC Directorate Gujarat facilitated the participation of two officers and 25 NCC cadets from the Army, Navy and Air Force wings in an educational programme at the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Space Applications Centre (SAC) in Ahmedabad.
The programme provided the cadets with an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to space technology and its applications. They also interacted with experts at the centre and learned about the evolution and achievements of India’s space programme.
The cadets attended sessions featuring Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Gujarat Cabinet Minister Arjun Modhwadia and ISRO Chairman Dr V. Narayanan.
The interaction offered the young cadets an insight into India’s growing capabilities in space technology while encouraging interest in science, innovation and exploration.
The programme was aimed at inspiring the next generation to engage with India’s space journey and provided the NCC cadets with an enriching learning experience beyond the classroom.
