Sainik School Nagrota celebrated its 57th Raising Day with patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and a strong sense of camaraderie, bringing together cadets, staff, families, parents and distinguished guests to commemorate the institution’s rich legacy, achievements and enduring traditions.
The day-long celebrations commenced with a ceremonial March Past at Major Somnath Sharma Stadium. Displaying exemplary discipline, precision, coordination and immaculate turnout, the cadets presented an impressive parade. Sindh House secured first position in both the Senior and Junior categories, reflecting its outstanding performance and team spirit.
The newly inducted Class VI cadets participated enthusiastically in the inter-class Tug of War, showcasing remarkable energy, determination and teamwork. The event also witnessed spirited participation by girl cadets, with two teams taking part and adding further vibrancy to the celebrations.
A friendly cricket match between staff and cadets was also organised, providing an opportunity for interaction beyond the classroom. The match was keenly enjoyed by participants and spectators alike and highlighted the strong bond of mutual respect and camaraderie shared between the staff and cadets.
The evening festivities featured a range of fun games for staff members, their families and children, creating a lively and convivial atmosphere on the school campus. The celebrations culminated with an engaging cultural competition by the cadets, who showcased their creativity, confidence and artistic talent through vibrant performances.
A special and poignant dimension was added to the occasion by the gracious presence of the parents of Late Flight Lieutenant Advitiya Bal. Their association with the institution served as an inspiring reminder of the values of courage, sacrifice, patriotism and selfless service that Sainik School Nagrota seeks to instil in its cadets.
