The Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre successfully conducted a Recruitment Rally for the youth of Ladakh, providing aspiring candidates with an opportunity to pursue a career in the service of the nation.
The rally witnessed an enthusiastic response from young men across the Union Territory of Ladakh, including candidates from the remote regions of Nubra, Sham and Changthang. Tradesmen from all classes across India also participated in the recruitment process. The overwhelming turnout reflected the strong spirit of patriotism, discipline and determination among the youth.
A total of 1,460 candidates participated in the rally. The recruitment process was conducted in a fair, transparent and systematic manner, with candidates undergoing physical fitness tests, medical examinations and documentation as applicable under the Agniveer recruitment process.
The Indian Army shares a long-standing and proud association with the people of Ladakh. The region has consistently produced brave, resilient and dedicated soldiers who have served the nation with distinction, often under some of the most challenging operational and climatic conditions.
The successful conduct of the recruitment rally marks another significant milestone in strengthening the enduring bond between the Indian Army and the youth of Ladakh. It also provides an avenue for nurturing the next generation of soldiers who embody the ethos of “Service Before Self” and remain committed to serving the nation with courage, discipline and dedication.
