The Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army, under the aegis of Eastern Command, conducted a military exercise in the super-high-altitude and rugged terrain of North Sikkim, testing the resilience of troops, equipment and operational systems under demanding conditions.
The exercise focused on strengthening coordination among various arms and ensuring effective equipment management in an environment characterised by extreme altitude, difficult terrain and challenging weather conditions. The seamless integration of personnel and resources enabled the troops to maintain operational effectiveness, highlighting their adaptability, coordination and combat readiness in some of the most demanding conditions along the frontier.
Beyond operational preparedness, the Trishakti Corps also continued its community-oriented initiatives in North Bengal.
Basic computer classes were organised for children of tea garden workers residing in remote villages, providing them with an introduction to computers, basic operations and digital skills.
The initiative sought to bridge the digital divide by giving children early exposure to technology and helping build confidence in navigating the digital world. Together, the military exercise and educational outreach reflect the Indian Army’s dual emphasis on maintaining high operational preparedness while contributing to the development and empowerment of communities in remote areas.
Through training in challenging terrain and initiatives that bring digital learning to underserved children, the Trishakti Corps continues to demonstrate a broader commitment to both combat readiness and community engagement.
