The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) have commenced bilateral Exercise Udara Shakti 2026 at Subang Airbase in Malaysia, with personnel from both air forces participating in joint training activities aimed at strengthening operational co-operation and interoperability.

The exercise brings together Air Warriors from India and Malaysia for joint field training and Subject Matter Expert (SME) exchanges. The engagements are focused on sharing operational experiences, exchanging best practices and enhancing mutual understanding of procedures and capabilities.

Through the joint training programme, personnel from both sides are undertaking professional interactions and field activities designed to promote operational learning and improve coordination in a collaborative environment.

Exercise Udara Shakti 2026 underscores the growing defence and military cooperation between India and Malaysia, while providing an opportunity for the two air forces to enhance interoperability through practical training and the exchange of expertise.

The exercise is also expected to facilitate greater understanding of operational practices and contribute to strengthening the professional relationship between the two air forces.
