The Indian Air Force (IAF) Band of South Western Air Command (SWAC) organised a musical performance at Town Hall, Bhuj, on August 9 as part of the celebrations commemorating the 80th Independence Day.

The event was attended by Keshubhai Shivdas Patel, MLA, Bhuj, as the Chief Guest, along with senior civil and military officials, representatives of the district administration, students and members of the public.

The IAF Band delivered a meticulously curated performance featuring a blend of symphonic compositions, patriotic songs, martial tunes and popular instrumental numbers. The performance showcased the rich musical traditions, discipline and professionalism of the Indian Air Force and was warmly appreciated by the audience.

The programme also featured a digital presentation highlighting operations of the Indian Air Force. As a mark of honour and remembrance, Veteran Gallantry Awardees of the Indian Army and Veer Naris were felicitated during the event.

The musical evening was organised as part of the Indian Air Force’s outreach initiatives conducted ahead of Independence Day to strengthen the connect between the Armed Forces and citizens. The event also aimed to inspire the youth and reinforce civil-military bonds.

The gathering joined the IAF personnel in singing patriotic songs, creating an atmosphere of national pride, unity and camaraderie.
