As part of the celebrations marking India’s 80th Independence Day, the Indian Air Force’s No. 1 Band will perform at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on August 9.
The performance, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., is being organised as a tribute to the nation’s freedom and the enduring legacy of the Armed Forces. Known for its ceremonial excellence and orchestral precision, the Air Force Band will present a repertoire of martial music, patriotic classics and iconic national tunes.
According to the Indian Air Force, the musical performance aims to celebrate India’s journey while honouring the courage, dedication and service of its Defence Forces. The event is expected to showcase the band’s blend of discipline, musical excellence and patriotic spirit.
The programme will be open to the public and is expected to draw senior Indian Air Force officials, civil dignitaries and residents of Bengaluru. Organisers said the event seeks to strengthen the bond between the Armed Forces and the citizens they serve while fostering a spirit of national pride ahead of Independence Day.
