The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Tuesday continued its relief and rescue operations in landslide-affected areas of Nagaland, evacuating more than 100 people to safety in close coordination with the state administration.
IAF helicopters were deployed to carry out rescue missions in the worst-hit areas of Kohima and Dimapur, where landslides have disrupted normal life and hampered access to several locations.
According to officials, the coordinated operation between the Indian Air Force and the Nagaland administration enabled the safe evacuation of over 100 stranded residents. Rescue teams continue to monitor the situation and provide assistance in affected areas as authorities assess the extent of the damage.
The relief effort remains ongoing, with helicopters supporting evacuation, transportation of essential supplies and emergency response operations in locations rendered inaccessible by the landslides.
Authorities have urged residents to remain alert and follow official advisories as rescue and relief operations continue across the affected districts.
