The Indian Army commemorated the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas with solemnity and patriotic fervour at the Albert Ekka War Memorial in Agartala, honouring the indomitable courage, supreme sacrifice and unwavering commitment of the soldiers who laid down their lives during Operation Vijay in the 1999 Kargil War.

Tripura Governor Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu paid floral tributes to the fallen heroes by laying a wreath at the War Memorial. As part of the commemorative ceremony, the Governor also felicitated Veer Naris of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles in recognition of their resilience, sacrifice and enduring contribution to the nation.

Their presence reflected the nation’s collective gratitude and respect for the brave soldiers who defended India’s sovereignty with exceptional courage and determination.

The ceremony echoed with patriotic fervour as attendees remembered the valour and sacrifices of the Kargil heroes. It also served as an inspiration for the younger generation to uphold the ideals of courage, selfless service and unwavering commitment to the nation.

Reaffirming its commitment to preserving the legacy of the Kargil War, the Indian Army stated that the supreme sacrifice of the nation’s heroes will continue to inspire generations of Indians to serve the country with honour and dedication.
