Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Narangi, under Zone Recruiting Office (ZRO) Shillong, conducted a career awareness programme on “Career Opportunities in the Indian Army” for 182 NCC cadets of Guwahati Group NCC and Imphal Group NCC at Brahmaputra Hall, Narangi Cantonment.
The cadets were briefed on various entry schemes, including Agniveer (Women Military Police), NDA, Officer Entries and NCC Special Entry, along with eligibility criteria, selection procedures, career progression and benefits of a military career. Special emphasis was laid on opportunities available to NCC cadets.
The interactive session, conducted by the Recruiting Medical Officer (RMO) and ARO Narangi staff, addressed recruitment-related queries and provided insights into life in the Indian Army. Informative pamphlets and posters were also distributed.
The programme was well received and reflected the Indian Army’s continued commitment to motivating and guiding youth towards a career of honour, discipline and selfless service.
